Fire Bible-NIV-Student ReviewI have a collection of study Bibles. And just got this one. It is hands down the best study Bible I have ever seen. Besides the very extensive and excellent study notes, and the readable Bible text, the very best part about this Bible are the fabulous and lengthy articles. There are articles that I have not seen in any other Bible, but that are very much needed if one is to experience, and help, others to live in the fullness of a Christian life. For example, there is an article about Divine Healing, and how this was not just for people back in Biblical times, but how you can be healed by Jesus of physical, mental, and spiritual diseases today. Another article is excellent about recieving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I also love the icons that point out at a glance which passages have to do with special topics.
So if I had to pick ONE Bible, this would hands-down be it! I have never been Pentecostal, but if you read closely the New Testement, it is obvious that Jesus intended Christians to demonstrate the true power of God by Healing the Sick, Preaching the Word, casting out demons, and that he sent his Holy Spirit to aid us in carrying out God's work by being able to keep in close contact with God's will. I have experienced divine healing by laying on of hands myself- what a horrible tragedy that this did not continue to be taught in most denominations of the church.
