I purchased it for the chapter by Bean and Eaton on the Psychological Model of Student Retention. I could not find this information anywhere else and it was essential to a thorough review of the history of attrition models in the field of higher education retention. For a nursing educator, this information is important to the exploration of theory related to nursing student attrition where theory such as self-efficacy, coping, and attributional theory is essential to further study.
