The Enduring Vision: A History of the American People (Student Text) ReviewI used this book in my AP US History class and it was great as an introduction into the depths of American History. It will point you in the right direction, but of course, you cannot cover over four hundred years with complementary charts, timelines, etc. in a reasonably sized textbook. I strongly recommend this book. It is unaffected by the conservative influence over education. Every negative part, as well as the positive one is told. Truth be told, it is told from a liberal leaning standpoint, but at least it is brought to light. Further research is needed, although sometimes a simple venture on Wikipedia will clear up any questions that might arise from the reading.
