Subsequent chapters deal with the endocrine secretions of each major endocrine gland, covering the mechanisms controlling hormone release, feedback regulation, principle actions of the hormones, and the clinical disorders arising due to over or under secretion of the hormones (for example, hyperthyroidism, Cushing's syndrome, and diabetes).
