The information is immediately useful in the classroom whether you're a rookie teacher or you're not far from retirement. I use the "brain break" idea almost everyday. The strategies and tips are backed with the lastest scientific research which is given in a very readable format. I recommend it to parents of teens also and often share the things I learned about adolescent development with parents at conferences. This book was so good, I convinced our professional learning community to read and discuss it as a book study.
