Instruction of Students with Severe Disabilities (6th Edition) ReviewThis was my Special Ed textbook in 1997 and I was looking forward to this sixth edition. It's very comprehensive and covers a wide range of topics relating to students with severe disabilities. My only reservation here is that the book is so pro-inclusion, it's really presenting a very biased viewpoint. Hypothetical students are all happily enrolled in mainstream settings where they make great educational gains because they're exposed to typical peers, who of course accept them wholeheartedly and benefit from their presence.
