Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Chapters 1-39 (with Student Tools CD-ROM) ReviewFor my physics for physics majors series, my professor is using the Giancoli books. Within those books there are multiple problems that the book does not give you any clue how to solve. The sheer number of these problems eliminates the chance that they are there to help the physics student figure it out for themselves. I was having "fun" with one of the problems in the book, when one of my neighbors stated that he remembered doing a similar problem from his Serway book. He showed me his book, and sure enough, there was a detailed explanation of how to solve that type of problem, and how they derived their equations. The fact that they used no calculus to derive the equation when it was unneccesary in my opinion was a plus. Five stars to a book that can solve the problems in other books!Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Chapters 1-39 (with Student Tools CD-ROM) OverviewThis best-selling, calculus-based text is recognized for its carefully crafted, logical presentation of the basic concepts and principles of physics. Raymond Serway, Robert Beichner, and contributing author John W. Jewett present a strong problem-solving approach that is further enhanced through increased realism in worked examples. Problem-solving strategies and hints allow students to develop a systematic approach to completing homework problems. The outstanding ancillary package includes full multimedia support, online homework, and a content-rich Web site that provides extensive support for instructors and students. The CAPA (Computer-assisted Personalized Approach), WebAssign, and University of Texas homework delivery systems give instructors flexibility in assigning online homework.Want to learn more information about Physics for Scientists and Engineers, Chapters 1-39 (with Student Tools CD-ROM)?
