High-interest, authentic literature provides opportunities for cross-textual reading in the content areas. Practice with higher-order thinking skills and writing tasks prepares students for state tests.

Reading Street is designed to help teachers build readers through motivating and engaging literature, scientifically research-based instruction, and a wealth of reliable teaching tools. The reading program takes the guesswork out of differentiating instruction with a strong emphasis on ongoing progress-monitoring and an explicit plan to help with managing small groups of students. In addition, Reading Street prioritizes skill instruction at each grade level, so teachers can be assured they will focus on the right reading skill, at the right time, and for every student.

World of Language/Student ReviewVery good in explaining, excellent for foreign students as well as English speaking. By the time you finish each book (I have read all 8) you realize how little you knew before starting to read it.World of Language/Student Overview

SF Reading Street: Grade 4: Student Edition (NATL) ReviewI enjoyed this book. I read it with my daughter while she does her schoolwork. She enjoys the stories and the reading helps are excellent. I enjoy the way they tie all the stories into science, social studies and non-fiction articles. They also have good writing prompts for the writing assignments that draw upon a young person's own experiences. It seems to tie together all their prior knowledge, current knowledge and then give them a little more knowledge than they had before. The poetry is fun, also. It is an excellent curriculum.SF Reading Street: Grade 4: Student Edition (NATL) OverviewScott Foresman Reading Street ©2008

SF Reading Street: Grade 3: Student Edition 2 (NATL) ReviewI purchased this book to have an extra at home for my third grader. I paid a fraction of the cost because it was bound backwards by the publisher, but it does not affect the text in any way.SF Reading Street: Grade 3: Student Edition 2 (NATL) OverviewScott Foresman Reading Street ©2008
